Summer 2026 at Ham Polo Club

The 2026 season marks a special year at Ham Polo Club as we celebrate 100 years of polo in London. Across the summer, the club will host a full calendar of polo fixtures, Friday Night Polo parties, Sunday Polo, Saturday Brunches and centenary events across the grounds.

Whether joining us for live polo, long lunches, evening parties or relaxed afternoons beside the pitch, discover what’s happening throughout the season at Ham Polo Club.

EVERY SUNDAY FROM MAY TO SEPTEMBER

Sunday Polo is the classic Ham Polo Club afternoon and one of the most traditional ways to experience the club during the season.

Across the summer, guests gather beside the grounds for live polo, long lunches, drinks on the terrace and relaxed afternoons that continue into the evening. Depending on the week, Sundays may feature club matches or tournament polo, giving visitors the chance to experience both the social and competitive sides of the game.

Guests can enjoy Sunday Polo in two different ways:

Picnic tickets allow guests to watch the polo from the grounds and enjoy a more relaxed pitch-side experience. Many guests bring blankets, picnic set-ups and groups of friends to spend the afternoon beside the polo.

Alternatively, guests can purchase a Sunday guest pass, offering clubhouse access and the opportunity to experience the club more like a member for the day. The clubhouse and terrace overlook the grounds, with food, drinks and dining available throughout the afternoon.

Sunday Polo is also one of the club’s most family-friendly events. Children under 14 attend free, and well-behaved dogs are very welcome!

Whether visiting for polo, dining or simply a summer afternoon outdoors, Sunday Polo remains one of the defining traditions of the Ham Polo Club season.

ONCE A MONTH FROM MAY TO SEPTEMBER

Friday Night Polo is Ham Polo Club’s monthly summer party, bringing together fast-paced polo, cocktails, food, music and dancing at the clubhouse.

The evening starts with live polo on the grounds, with one or two matches played depending on the sunlight. Watch the action from the clubhouse or beside the pitch, grab a drink from the bar and enjoy the build-up as the sun goes down.

After the final chukka, the night shifts from polo to party. Expect DJs, dancing, themed cocktails and a lively clubhouse atmosphere that carries on late into the evening.

For our centenary season, each Friday Night Polo Party celebrates a different decade, with music, décor and drinks inspired by the era. Dress up, add a nod to the theme, or simply come ready for a good night.

Food is part of the evening too. Depending on your ticket, you can enjoy Ham Polo Club street food, or buy from the food vendor on the night.

Think summer garden party meets polo match meets Friday night out, with everything already organised for you.

SELECT SATURDAYS THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER

Saturday Breakfast at Ham Polo Club offers a relaxed start to the weekend, with breakfast served from the clubhouse overlooking the polo grounds.

Across the morning, guests can enjoy coffee, breakfast and a slower pace at the club while players practise and horses exercise on the fields. It is one of the best ways to experience the club in a more informal setting, with the atmosphere unfolding around you throughout the morning.

Whether meeting friends, bringing family or spending time outdoors at the club, Saturday Breakfast combines the feeling of a summer morning in the countryside with the energy of a working polo club in London.

Breakfast is open to both members and non-members, though tables must be booked in advance.

TWO DAYS OF POLO, FOOD AND SUMMER CELEBRATION

The Independence Cup is one of Ham Polo Club’s standout weekends of the summer, celebrating the 4th of July and the club’s centenary year with two days of polo, food, music and entertainment.

The weekend begins with the Friday Festival, centred around a high-energy USA vs UK transatlantic polo match. Alongside the polo, guests can enjoy food trucks, bars, cocktails, a mini shopping village, cowboy shows, a glitter tent, merch stands and Ham Polo Club’s in-house catering, followed by a live DJ and saxophonist into the evening.

Saturday continues with the Family Fun Day, bringing together more USA vs UK polo, the inaugural Field Marshal Lord Guthrie Cup between the Household Cavalry and the Welsh Guards, and a full day of entertainment across the club.

With bouncy castles, face painting, glitter painting, cowboy shows, live music, food vendors and a welcoming summer atmosphere, the Independence Cup is designed for families, groups, friends and first-time visitors alike.
