With two polo grounds, an all weather arena, and a dedicated stick and ball field, our Academy provides the perfect setting for riders of all ages and abilities to learn, practice, and develop their polo skills. Nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Richmond Park, the Academy offers a unique combination of professional facilities, natural beauty, and a supportive, welcoming community.

Situated just a short journey from central London, the Ham Polo Club Academy is designed to fit around busy schedules. Whether you work, attend school, or live elsewhere in the city, our flexible after-work and weekend sessions give you the perfect opportunity to learn and play polo.

Our Academy is structured to meet the needs of both junior and adults riders:

• Adult Academy – Open to riders aged 16 and above, this program focuses on skill refinement, game strategy, and preparing participants for competitive play.

• Junior Academy – Designed for riders aged 15 and under, the Junior Academy emphasizes safe learning, confidence building, and foundational polo skills. Exceptional young riders may be invited to train in the Adult Academy to accelerate their development.

The Academy operates as an enhanced development pathway to help riders progress efficiently and confidently toward Playing Membership. Riders play as “teams” under coach supervision over the hour. These sessions give riders real-game experience in a structured, educational environment. Our programs combine technical instruction, fitness, strategy, and practical game experience, ensuring every rider can develop at a pace suited to their ability.
