Come for the polo, stay for the party

Friday Night Polo is one of Ham Polo Club’s signature summer evenings, open to both members and the public.

The evening begins with live polo on the grounds, with either one or two matches played depending on the light. Guests can watch the action pitch-side, enjoy drinks from the bar and settle into the atmosphere as the sun begins to set over the club.

Once the polo finishes, the evening turns into a summer party, with music, cocktails and dancing. Our DJ keeps the energy going until late, making Friday Night Polo the perfect way to start the weekend.

This year is especially special as we celebrate 100 years of Ham Polo Club. Across the centenary season, each Friday Night Polo Party will bring a different decade to life, with themed cocktails, music and décor inspired by the era.

2026 Party Dates and Themes

70s & 80s Disco Night — 14th August

Step back in time for a night of disco classics, iconic anthems and feel-good favourites. Dress retro, bring your friends and get ready to dance.

Back to (Old) School: A 90s Party — 11th September

Rewind to the 90s with pop, dance, R&B and Britpop favourites. Double denim, bucket hats and throwback outfits encouraged.

Do I need to dress up?

We encourage guests to have fun with the theme, but there is no pressure. Come in a full costume, add a little vintage detail, wear something sparkly or simply come as you are.

Food & Drink

Food and drink will be available throughout the evening. Guests can choose tickets that include Ham Polo Club street food, or buy food separately from the vendor on the night.

The bar will be open for cocktails, drinks and refreshments before, during and after the polo.
