For those who are not satisfied with just spectating we also offer polo lessons. Ham Polo Club has a number of HPA qualified coaches and a string of quiet school ponies for novices to learn on. The polo school offers several ways to learn the sport.
Private and group lesson prices include day membership to Ham Polo Club. Clients who wish to progress to instructional chukkas will need to apply to the General Committee for Instructional Membership. You will be able to discuss this option with your coach or the Polo Manager as your instruction progresses.

Complimentary Coaching: On Fridays from 6pm till 7pm there will be a group session available for Chukka Members and Full Members of Ham Polo Club to join. Participants using their own horse may attend an unlimited number of these sessions free of charge.
Polo Experience days- These are excellent as corporate entertainment or for private parties and are tremendous fun. Clients start with a full morning of polo tuition with our coaches. The group will be instructed with hand sticks, on the wooden horse and on the real polo ponies. Lunch will then either be served in our club house or guests will be taken in the golf buggies along the river Thames tow path to our partners Gaucho Restaurant Richmond.
After lunch we can arrange to have a match played for clients to watch, our coaches will still be on hand to explain what is happening on the field. Sundays are our match days and so different packages can be arranged to include either a gourmet picnic or a served lunch in a private area overlooking the polo.
